It Was Always Ours.
May has always been a special month for me.
It is the month I became a mother.
The month the world celebrates Mother's Day.
But for me, it always begins with my daughter.
When she was born, everything changed.
Not perfectly.
Not neatly.
But in the most real and beautiful way.
Motherhood arrived with the quiet chaos no one can truly prepare you for.
Long nights.
Moments of doubt.
Unexpected joy.
A love so deep it quietly reshaped everything I thought I knew about myself.
Somewhere within that transformation, I found something I didn't even realise I had been searching for.
A deeper connection to myself.
A quieter confidence.
A different understanding of what it means to be a woman.
Becoming a mother did not only change my life.
It brought me closer to the person I was becoming.
Over the years, I have realised that fear does not disappear when we become adults.
As women.
As mothers.
As founders.
We carry it with us.
The fear of failing.
The fear of not being enough.
The fear of beginning something whose outcome we cannot yet see.
Motherhood did not remove those fears.
But it taught me something even more valuable.
That courage is not the absence of fear.
It is choosing to continue despite it.
Somewhere along that journey, Intensify Me Boutique came to life.
It began during my breastfeeding years, when I found myself searching for something that felt strangely difficult to find.
Not simply beautiful lingerie.
But a way to reconnect with myself.
To feel feminine again.
To remember that motherhood had added to who I was, not taken anything away.
What began as something deeply personal slowly became something much larger than me.
I wanted to create a place where women could experience that feeling for themselves.
Not simply a boutique.
But a place where beauty is lived rather than performed.
Where softness and strength exist side by side.
Where choosing yourself is never considered selfish.
And where every woman is invited to feel at home in herself.
Mother's Day always reminds me that we inherit much more than names or traditions.
We inherit gestures.
Ways of loving.
Ways of speaking.
Ways of caring.
The women who came before us quietly live within us.
And the women who come after us are watching us, often more closely than we realise.
Perhaps womanhood is not something we are taught.
Perhaps it is something we slowly recognise.
Piece by piece.
Experience by experience.
Until one day we look back and understand that it was never waiting to be found.
It was always ours.
With love,
Carina Baldi
