Honoring the women who came before us and those still becoming

International Women’s Day began as a call for equality.

A moment in history when women stood together to demand fair work, dignity, and a voice in the world around them.

It is rooted in courage –

in the fight for rights,

for safety,

for recognition.

And while much has changed, the journey toward equality is still unfolding.

There is something complex about being a woman.

It is strength, though not always in the way the world defines it.

It is softness, without fragility.

It is ambition, often carried quietly.

Over the years, I’ve come to understand that being a woman is less about proving something and more about staying connected to yourself.

There were moments in my life when I questioned my own voice.

And others when I trusted my instinct completely.

Moments when I stepped into rooms that felt unfamiliar.

Moments when I chose to build something that felt deeply aligned with who I am, even when it required courage.

Building as a woman, especially in spaces that test your confidence, teaches you something important.

Strength is not always loud.

Often, it is steady.

It is the decision to continue.

To refine.

To keep moving forward without losing yourself along the way.

On this March 8, I don’t think about celebration in a grand way.

I think about recognition.

Recognition of the women who came before us, the ones who raised their voices so others could have opportunities they never did.

Recognition of the effort women carry every day.

The invisible work.

The emotional intelligence.

The resilience that does not always receive applause.

I think about the women who shaped me, through example, through conversation, through belief.

And I’m reminded that none of us really walks this path alone.

Behind every step forward there are often other women, friends, mentors, mothers, daughters, offering encouragement, perspective, or simply understanding.

That quiet solidarity matters.

Growth rarely happens in isolation.

More often, it happens side by side.

And I think about the women who are still becoming.

Because becoming never really ends.

At Intensify Me, everything begins with one idea:

a woman feeling at home in herself.

Not perfect.

Not finished.

But honest in who she is.

Today is also a reminder of the long path women have walked and continue to walk toward equality and freedom.

In honor of women -

in all their strength, softness, and becoming.
