It Didn't Start with Fashion.

It Didn't Start with Fashion.

People sometimes ask me how Intensify Me Boutique began.

The answer usually surprises them.

It didn't start with fashion.

It started with motherhood.

When my daughter was two years old, I went through a separation.

At the time, I was still breastfeeding. My body was still nourishing someone else, and like many mothers, I found myself somewhere in between.

Not quite the woman I had been before.

Not yet the woman I was becoming.

For three and a half years, I wore nursing bras almost every day.

They were exactly what I needed.

Comfortable.
Practical.
Supportive.

But somewhere along the way, I realised that I had stopped choosing lingerie for myself.

It had become purely functional. Almost invisible.

Then, one day, I was ready for something different.

Not a dramatic transformation.

Not a new beginning.

Just one small decision made entirely for me.

I bought beautiful lingerie.

Looking back, it sounds like such an ordinary moment.

But it didn't feel ordinary.

For the first time in a long time, I had chosen something that wasn't about necessity.

It was simply for me.

What surprised me wasn't how it looked.

It was how it made me feel.

A little more connected.
A little more present.
A little more myself.

That moment stayed with me.

Because I realised it had never really been about lingerie.

It was about remembering myself.

Around the same time, life shifted again.

I stopped breastfeeding.
The pandemic began.
And I left my career as a scientist.

For the first time in many years, I allowed myself to pause.

To question.

To reflect.

Why had I chosen that path?
What truly mattered to me?
How did I want to continue helping people?

The answer didn't arrive all at once.

It revealed itself slowly.

Helping people had always been at the heart of the work I had chosen. Only the way I wanted to do it was changing.

And I kept returning to that small, seemingly ordinary moment.

Buying lingerie for myself.

Remembering how choosing something beautiful, simply because I wanted it, had changed something in me.

I began to wonder whether other women might recognise that feeling too.

That was the beginning of Intensify Me Boutique.

Not a desire to create fashion.

A desire to create a place where women could reconnect with themselves.

Where beauty was never about performance.
Where confidence could begin quietly.
Where choosing something for yourself didn't need justification.

Everything that Intensify Me Boutique has become can be traced back to that moment.

Not because I bought lingerie.

But because, for the first time in a long while, I chose something for myself.
